Thanks for the link.

Also found this one:

http://www.slate.com/id/2242960/pagenum/all/

Which all the (biased, objective-driven) religious talkers can read and those who believe in their coke can can ignore.

The more I read about this guy, the more disgusted I become.

The only thing saving him from being the most controversial NFL player this side of [False Prophet] is that he has no chance of being any good.

I mean, he makes Kurt Warner look like me.

Who is going to be dumb enough to draft this lunatic. This guy will split the locker room in an instant.

Wouldn't this kid look good with Romo, Kitna and Jerry Jones in Dallas?

You think in a league where half of the players spend their offseasons blowing rails off hookers, teams are going to be scared of drafting a guy because he's a relegious nutbag?

Yeah.

I don't see Tebow learing how to tone it down like Dwight Howard did.

Howard realized basektball was more important than his stupid religious views. Haven't heard a word about it since he was drafted.

Tebow thinks football is a mechanism for spreading his words.

This is gonna be ugly.

Kitna split the locker room with this nonsense. That isn't even debatable.

And Kitna looks like Bill Maher compared to Tebow.

That story is nutty and is just going to get worse.

I was going to use Reggie White, and his chronicled homophobia, as an example of where extreme religious views could work in a locker room setting, but then I remembered White's views were parallel with 99.4 percent of the league. Not to mention, White had Hall of Fame talent.

Whelp, the commercial came, and it went...

... and it was much ado about nothing.

That was millions well spent.

Seriously.

Tim Tebow tackled his mom because if he tried to throw it to her it would be wobbly and 5 yards short.

I think it was religious right humor.

I saw one of the heads of that group last week on Larry King and he promised that people on both sides of the debate would enjoy the commercial.

I don't know how anyone would think the commercial was funny or enjoyable.

It tells me that MORE women should abort their children, so they don't grow up and begin spontaneously tackling everyone.

I disagree.

The message was "Hit women really hard and they'll laugh about it and hug you."

Right?

Tim Tebows commercial will be alot like his NFL career. Much ado about nothing. Easily the worst Super Bowl commerical year ever.

Ugh. Post fail by me. If he tried to throw "the ball" to her would actually make that horrible sentence make sense.

No. I GET that. What I DON'T get is why he would both want to tackle his mom AND want to throw the ball to her.

Tim Tebow's thought process in Nick's terrible joke:

"I want to throw the ball to Mom. I can't throw a football though. If I throw her a football it will be a wobbly pass that lands 5 feet in front of her. I'LL JUST TACKLE HER INSTEAD!!!!!"

In Nick's mind this is funny? And makes sense?

I can't imagine relying on Nick and/or Greg[g] to represent me in any legal matter ever. I'd die from fear.

I guess I'm the only one who finds it odd that a guy who prides himself in being a QB took a very non-QB attitude in the commercial.

But be sure to find humor out of something that was never intended to be humorous... I doubt you will though.

I'm not sure I necessarily disagree with the point he's trying to make, though.

If you feel strongly about something, you deliver that message... you don't try to be coy about it. It makes you sound like you're too afraid of what other people are going to think about what you have to say. It's like you're trying to trick them, and that does more damage to your argument than actually being upfront about it.

I mean, I don't care (though I'm still posting about it... huh) but honestly, that's not me trying to be funny. That's just the way I talk/post. If you find it funny, ok, if you don't ok. It's not the end of the world.

I obviously do not like Tebow for a good number of reasons. I find it weird that he wants so badly to be a QB and yet he didn't act like that in the commercial. And he can't throw. Those combined together = my message. That's about it.

I'll leave it out of my stand up routine.

So, wait, you want him to act like a QB ALL THE TIME?

He should have on eye black and a helmet when he goes to Kroger?

It was a commercial Nick. They use make believe in commercials.

Were you upset about the Peyton Manning commercials where he pretended to be a fan and cheered on other people at their jobs because QBs don't do that?

I mean this is why I said I'd be afraid if you and Greg[g] were my attorneys. It has NOTHING to do with not wanting attorneys with terrible senses of humor and EVERYTHING to do with not wanting stupid attorneys.

Stop worrying about how embarrasing your family is and start figuring out how you're going to make it through the snowstorm safely.

Your Mom is worried sick.

And she doesn't need anymore drama right now.

I was going to post on FB that she didn't need to worry because Jeff would be picking Parks up and since he's completed rehab he's managed to stay mostly sober.

I figured that might be crossing a line though.

Are you fucking KIDDING me?

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/10268/tebow-in-nfc-north-context

This was the front page story on ESPN, by the way. This. They think people want to read about this and care about this.

We all know this piece of shit network dedicates a face in each sport to celebrate and then overrates that player to death but this is out of control? All eight divisions covered? For a guy almost everyone recognizes will be an insignificant pro player? Possibly a new low.
